Message With the car show the next day I barely had time to get up and wash the car off and do a very quick detailing session. The car show on Sat was a pretty good turn out. The Z's were all separated by model and lined up nice. Great examples of all were on display. I got everything set up, and then took cover under my canopy. The sun had killed me the day before at the track and I was beat from the long day/night.

After the car show we immediately had the awards dinner at Austin’s Steak house. Very good food (except for the steaks which were almost rare still) and a good place to meet and chat with everyone. As they started announcing awards, I ended up taking home more than I could have imagined.

Needless to say I was a little embarrassed after going up repeatedly to get the awards. I made sure to remind everyone that it wasn't my fault and if it wasn't for the other guys helping out I wouldn't have even been there.

Sunday was the cruise. We all met up for lunch in a very-very small town in Iowa. Pretty much what you see in the pics is what's in the town. But the road there has some nice curves and such. Good driving road. After lunch we had a nice burn out demo by Darkzide, and then I headed back to town and the event was over.

The Nebraska Captain Morgan (fat suit btw)

I relaxed and enjoyed Labor Day and headed back to Colorado on Tuesday. But of course, one last thing before I made it home....the trailer blew one of the tires while on the road. I didn't even knwo it happened. Found it when I stopped for gas. Had a spare though and changed it out quick.

Over all it was a great weekend. Again the track was a blast to drive on. It was the whole reason I made the trip and it was well worth it even with the mishaps I ran into. I can't wait until the new Colorado track is finished (they hope next year). The whole event was very well ran and organized. It was good to meet some of the names I have read posts from on here, and revisit some of the people I had already known. Was also nice to let my friends and family see what I'm involved in on a daily basis as the hobby has expanded to way more than just that.

And of course special thanks to all those guys that gave me a hand with my car at and after the track. Evil Twin, Piranha, and the rest. Please reply and get your recognition. I'm terrible with names and I apologize for that. It was great to have you all around and you helped me enjoy the weekend that much more.
